Good morning to our Sccyber Community!

There is a lot of talk surrounding what will happen in the coming days for students and school if the province decides to recommend or mandate extended school closures.

Thankfully, as a fully online school, we are in a good position to deal with the possibility of school closures.  Our teachers all work from home already, and most of our students, even those that usually come to a classroom to do their work, should be able to continue working from home from a personal device if such measures become necessary.

At this time, no school closures have been announced in Alberta, but it could become a possibility if our health officials feel the need to follow some other provinces that are also experiencing outbreaks in trying to limit the spread.

I urge you to get your information about this unfolding situation from Alberta Health Services and not from the many random internet sources out there that may or may not have valid and up to date information.  There is a lot of panic and fear-mongering going on right now and Alberta Health Services is an information source that you can trust.

May our Creator bless you and your family with good health!
