Good morning to our SCcyber Family,

This is a reminder that September 30th is the day set aside for the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. This day is to honour survivors of Residential Schools and children who were lost, to promote healing for their families and communities. We recognize the trauma that has been inflicted and we pray for healing for all whose lives have been affected by residential schools in Indigenous families and communities.

We encourage everyone to wear orange on September 30th to help raise awareness for those who were tragically lost to residential schools, as well as the survivors who are still with us today, and all those affected by this national tragedy.

If you or someone you know needs help or is in crisis due to Residential School trauma, please visit the Indian Residential Schools Resolution Support Program page for resources, or seek help from Elders or other trusted helpers in your community.

Blessings to each of you, your families, and your communities in your individual journeys of healing.
