Good morning to our SCcyber family!


February 22 is Human Trafficking Awareness day in Canada.

As many of you know, human trafficking is an increasingly serious issue in Canada and across the globe.  This crime has brought grief and trauma to many Indigenous individuals, families, and communities whose most vulnerable people are at the highest risk of becoming victims.  As you can see in the graphic below, Aboriginal people make up 4% of Canada's population but make up 50% of human trafficking victims.  It is important for people to be aware of this issue so that they can avoid victimization and help others close to them.
